The Cocteau Twins' "The Box Set," also known as "Cocteau Twins Singles Collection," is a compilation of EPs and singles released in 1991 by 4AD. It includes non-album releases up to that time and a bonus disc of rare and previously unreleased tracks from throughout their history. The collection spans the years 1982 to 1990, showcasing the band's evolution. The set contains ten CDs, nine of which were previously released as EPs, which were hard to get at the time.
This box set is considered a comprehensive collection for Cocteau Twins enthusiasts, compiling singles and EPs that are otherwise difficult to find. The included singles are packaged in a red cloth flip-top box. While the box set is now out of print, it was effectively replaced by the 2005 box set "Lullabies To Violaine," although that release did not include the four rare tracks from the bonus CD included in "The Box Set".
