Significance
Django Reinhardt is considered one of the greatest guitar players of all time and the first major European jazz musician. His unique style, developed despite a physical disability, has had a lasting impact, leading to a revival of interest in his music and the emergence of "gypsy jazz" as a distinct genre. Volume III, like other compilations of his work, provides listeners with access to essential recordings from his career.
