The album *The Best of Fleetwood Mac* has multiple releases with the same or similar names. There is a compilation album released in 1972. Another compilation album called *Greatest Hits* was released in 1988. In 2002, *The Very Best of Fleetwood Mac* was released as a double album in the US and a single disc in the UK to promote their upcoming album *Say You Will*. The US version focused on their Californian era (1975 onwards) and included a B-side, a previously unreleased performance, and remixes. The UK version included three songs from their Peter Green-led blues era. In 2009, the two-disc US version was released in the UK and other territories.
